April 2016 : I buy the S4.
May 2016: Windshield cracks while driving to Steamboat Springs. It spiders enough that I need a new windshield.
June 2016: My apartment complex is moving appliances into a unit near my car and inadvertently keys it with the side of a stove. $1,000 in damage.
Early October 2016: I get backed into by an uninsured/unregistered driver. $2,400 in damage (thank god for uninsured motorist coverage)
Mid October 2016: Three days before the car going to the bodyshop, I have a note left on my window with insurance paperwork. Surprise, surprise...I was hit once again.

Somebody hit his car and left their insurance info.
Honestly I wouldn’t even do a whole new insurance claim 3 days before it’s supposed to go in for a repair near that exact same spot. Just loop it into that repair.

You are being punished for having nice things. Why do you mock us, car gods?

If they’ll fix it for the same estimate, yeah. You need those things I see all the time in the city .

Cursed, yes. But you may be the only human on the planet whose car has been keyed by a stove.

That blows. :( Comes with having a new/nice car. I had a ton of stuff happen to my 6 right after I got it, too. Damn thing almost got caught in a big ass hailstorm this spring but I parked it under a gas station awning in advance.

I’m honestly not going to bother with doing anything unless the body shop calls me out for additional damage. The person who hit me wrote “hablo espanol” on the note, and I’m not really interested in explaining the situation to them.

Their policy they left on my window was for a 1989 Dodge Dakota, yet they had insurance, but the girl who hit me a week prior in a 2013 Jetta didn’t....weird how things work out.

Ever since my my accident with the Jetta, I’ve tried my best to fully avoid parking lots. They’re terrifying.

I (very briefly!) dated a girl years ago who thought buying car insurance was for suckers and bragged about all the money she had saved, “because she’s never needed it yet.”

Ironically, she was very Christian. This was also a problem for me.
